1. About these terms
QuoteBuddy is a voice-to-quote tool for tradespeople, built and operated by Mahmas Studio ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using QuoteBuddy you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. What QuoteBuddy does
QuoteBuddy takes a voice note or typed description of a job and drafts an itemised, GST-ready quote using an AI model. It can email that quote to your customer and track its status. The quotes it produces are drafts for you to review, edit and approve — not finished documents.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate business details and keep them up to date.
- You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.
- One account represents one business. Don't share credentials.
4. AI-generated quotes — your responsibility
Quote content is generated by an AI model (via OpenAI) from the input you provide. It is provided "as is" and may be inaccurate, incomplete or mispriced. You are solely responsible for reviewing every quote, correcting it, and for the quote you ultimately send to a customer and any contract that results. We are not a party to your quotes or jobs and are not liable for errors in a quote you send.
5. Acceptable use
- Don't use QuoteBuddy for anything unlawful, misleading or fraudulent.
- Don't enter another person's personal information (such as a customer's email) without a lawful basis to do so.
- Don't attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Don't resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
6. Trial and billing
- New accounts include a free trial of a limited number of quotes. No card is required for the trial.
- The Pro plan is a recurring subscription billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime; your Pro access continues until the end of the paid period. We don't provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
- We may change the price with reasonable advance notice before your next renewal.
7. Third-party services
QuoteBuddy depends on Supabase (auth and database, hosted in Sydney), OpenAI (quote drafting), Stripe (billing) and Resend (sending quote emails). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and outages in those services may affect QuoteBuddy.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep QuoteBuddy running but provide it "as is" and don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
9. Suspension and termination
You can stop using QuoteBuddy and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. On termination, your right to use the service ends; data handling follows our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the state or territory in which Mahmas Studio operates. Courts there have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material we'll make reasonable effort to let you know; continued use after the "last updated" date means you accept the revised terms.
